Delete your account
Last updated: July 27, 2026
You can delete your Washi account — and the data associated with it — at any time. This applies to both Washidoc and Washipad, which share one Washi account.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
Washidoc or Washipad
- Open the app and go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Under Account, choose Delete account.
- Confirm. You'll be asked to sign in again first, to prove the account is yours.
On a Mac, the same option is in Washidoc → Settings (⌘,) → Account.
Or ask us to delete it
If you can't get into the app — for example you've lost access to the device or the sign-in method — email us and we'll delete the account for you. Write from the email address associated with the account where possible, so we can verify the request.
We'll confirm the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your Washi account and its sign-in identity.
- Documents and notes backed up to the cloud, including any images attached to them.
- Your subscription entitlement record.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What this does not cover
- Content stored only on your device is not held by us. Deleting the app removes it.
- Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel it — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play so you aren't charged again.
- We may retain limited records where the law requires it (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).
- An anonymous deletion statistic. We keep one anonymous record that an account was deleted — the week, the account's approximate age, which apps it used, the platform, sign-in method, and whether it was Pro. It contains nothing that identifies you, and cannot be linked back to you.
